2021 - HORTLANDIA'S 33rd Year!

Join us on June 26, 2021 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Westside Commons (formerly the Washington County Fairgrounds) for Hortlandia 2021, a one -day outdoor sale packed with plants and garden art.
Gardeners across the Northwest are hungry for safe garden shopping opportunities. At Hortlandia 2021, plant vendors from all over the Northwest will offer the latest plant introductions as well as the time-tested (and hardiness-tested!) plants. Complementing the plant vendors are specialty garden artists bringing one-of-a-kind pieces made from metal, wood, glass, ceramic, fabric, and stone. Each work of art is handcrafted by the vendor. Even though this year’s event will be smaller than our usual spring sale, we are creating a safe, fun space for shoppers to interact with nurseries and artists offering many plant choices and specialty artworks.
This year’s sale will be designed to comply with Oregon state regulations related to Covid-19. The rules continue to evolve. expect limits on the number of people who can be present at the sale at any one time. In order to comply with these regulations, we will be offering timed ticket entry for the sale. More details about this process will be posted in May 2021. Masks and social distancing will also be required and strictly enforced.
In 2020, we created a virtual Hortlandia with pandemic shopping and contact information for the Hortlandia vendors. Many of our longstanding nursery partners also took time to give us insights into their history and love of horticulture.

In recent years, Hortlandia has featured the Grow With Us Lecture Series at the sale. While we can’t promise lecture programs at a 2021 Hortlandia, we are hoping that our other digital offerings this spring through the Gen(i)us Program and Garden Stories will help to fill your mind with new garden ideas.

The Westside Commons is located at NE 34th Ave and Cornell Road accessible by MAX light rail at the Fair Complex/Airport MAX Station. Paid parking is available on site, and we always encourage carpooling. Location on Google maps.
